Words for me

  Growing up I had many questions, they grew in difficulty until I needed others' help to answer them. Some were solved on a math sheet, some were solved with a book. Others took time, and still others to this day I find myself unsatisfied with the answer. There are two that come to mind which means that these are the only two that matter to me. Firstly it is, “What is love?” Which I have attempted to answer but again as before I am unsatisfied. The other happens to be the title of this talk and that is: What is Infinite? Or the alternate title:  What is the greatest number you can comprehend? Beginning with a grand term as Infinite is a great way to lose interest, it loses mine. Infinite what is it? It’s something we can’t count, it has no beginning, and no ending.   I called my cat Woo because he was white, I am not good with names. So forgive me for my title... Redefining Beauty As an artist that hates to be called that, I find my inspiration in beauty. In beauty and love, but the love I write about can be labeled as a beautiful kind of love. Or at least that is what kind of love I hope I describe in my writing.  But this will not be similar to what I have written in the past. You see, as I wrote about my life, and photographed the moments that I experienced I did not know that I was losing my idea of what I described as beauty. Not until it was gone did I realize I had of course been chasing something I already had, like a dog chasing their tail. How stupid was I to run in circles hoping to catch the figment of perfect beauty that was already around me.   We are Jack and Rose from the Titanic. The universe is spread out before us, and we are on top of the world. Feel the wind beneath your fingertips and smell the sweet taste of infinity. You love me and I love you, so let us chase the end of the world and achieve whatever we put our hearts to. Listen to the sound of the band playing, they know every song we could ever want and taste the foods the cooks prepared just for us. We eat on gold plated dishes and dance beneath chandlers that would make even the stars jealous. Hold my hand as we walk down marble hallways and wear the softest silk. In this moment, time is frozen, the ship's propeller has stopped spinning, the flag has stopped waving, the water has stopped flowing, we are still in this moment. No golden plates, no marbled hallways, no sounds or smells. Just me and you, and you are beautiful.  But time is not forgiving. And the world continues, so I won't tell you that the Titanic is beautiful and you are breathtaking. ...
